Siyaphambili [pronounced See-ya-fam-bee-lee] means “moving on” in isiXhosa and is the guiding mission of the Village – to help children and young people who became severe effected by the AIDS epidemic in South Africa and who suffer from food insecurity and poverty. To help them grow and move on with their lives with the help of the resources at the Village.

Siyaphambili conducts an outreach program for teen mothers, grandmothers raising their own grandchildren, child-headed households and counselling in the area and has an after-school program and a daytime pre-school group. Within all activities that we arrange there are about 250 persons that are provided with support and help.

Siyaphambili Orphan Village is a registered South African non-profit organization located in Langa, Cape Town, South Africa.
